Kids n' Kin
Program
Description: PSSC's Kids n' Kin Program provides
home-based services including case management, family therapy,
support groups and legal advocacy, designed to maintain a
safe and stable home environment for children living with
their relatives. EOE
Social
Worker Position Job description
- Meets
with families and children, assesses family situation
and prepares family service plans that meet case practice
standards and identify goals and outcomes to be achieved.
- Develops
and implements appropriate case practice model interventions
that lead to goal and outcome achievement
- Leads
groups and workshops as appropriate and needed.
- Collaborates
and confers with public service and community agencies
to develop joint interventions that lead to goal and outcome
achievement.
- Coordinates
service delivery with other agencies to ensure achievement
of goals and outcomes.
- Effectively
utilizes Clinical Supervision in making decisions regarding
case movement, family strength evaluation, resistance
or hindrances to social work interventions, assistance
on use of tools for assessment, diagnostic, intervention
and treatment planning and termination.
- Participates
in team and agency projects, planning and meetings to
improve client outcomes.
- Leads
and coordinates team in assigned roles.
CRITICAL
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE necessary to carry out
the requirements of the position:
- Undergraduate
degree in Human Services or related field; MSW preferred
- 3-5
years experience in Child Welfare
- Valid
drivers license
- Excellent
interpersonal skills
- Basic
knowledge of Microsoft Word and email systems.
